it seems the only constant thing in life is change. change of the seasons. Growing old and growing up to be a responsible human being yet there are many stumbling blocks along this path. A discovery of who's true to you and who deceives you. a hardship of trust and determination of where you want to be that its the right path you re walking on. this has been really interesting for me. love changed apart of my soul which i never knew. i felt loss like i thought id never have to experience. had to adjust to sleeping alone during the cold winter nights and it has been bitter sweet. see the thing about being single is putting up this wall that you re moving on and everything is so dandy and nothing could be better than doing as you please but it truly isn't so, there are those heart breaking moments of loneliness and pain that no substance or person could fill the void. its in these defining moments i embrace that what i had was real and its in these moments i feel raw that i know there is change. because its out of our comfort zone. Do i miss my relationship? yes i do very much but one can not continue living in the past of what was and its in this moment we all have to keep looking forward for our sanity at least and take the heartache of losing a love so true as a lesson that something so beautiful can crumble any moment and life is so precious that it can be taken away. my moms best friend is dying of cancer so sudden and real but its just a reminder of how beautiful this day is. So I'm truly grateful for all i have and all that there is to come ahead:)

Middle of the week :) good to know theres a long weekend up ahead. Taking a hike up lions head in the morning really looking forward to it :) been jogging everyday this week feeling abit sore but anything is possible ounce you put your mind to it. Really am so exited managed to order afew of those pieces from Etsy as a gift from my brother who lives in the states ecstatic for it to arrive i`ll give you all a preview soon:) watched a truly phenomenal movie called the peace full warrior it was so positive and moving. there are no ordinary moments. One of the quotes that got me the most was this
This remains true as most people tend to ponder about where the moment is leading to that they fail to embrace the present. I try think of this quote when i start being negative my other favourites are:
The journey is what brings us happiness not the destination
The ones who are hardest to love are usually the ones who need it the most
Dan Millman: Life has just three rules? Socrates: And you already know them...
Dan Millman: Paradox, humour, and change.
Socrates: Paradox...
Dan Millman: Life is a mystery. Don't waste time trying to figure it out. Socrates: Humour...
Dan Millman: Keep a sense of humour, especially about yourself. It is a strength beyond all measure. Socrates: Change...
Dan Millman: Know that nothing stays the same.
Death isn't sad. The sad thing is: most people don't live at all.
You'll be amazed at what you can do and how well you can do it.
“There is no need to search; achievement leads to nowhere. It makes no difference at all, so just be happy now! Love is the only reality of the world, because it is all One, you see. And the only laws are paradox, humour and change. There is no problem, never was, and never will be. Release your struggle, let go of your mind, throw away your concerns, and relax into the world. No need to resist life, just do your best. Open your eyes and see that you are far more than you imagine. You are the world, you are the universe; you are yourself and everyone else, too! It's all the marvellous Play of God. Wake up, regain your humour. Don't worry, just be happy. You are already free!”

simply inspiring...

Joined my sister Angie at 2 events this past week a cooking competition at a wine farm as well as the Taste festival truly had a divine evening. Tasted some wine...chocolate deserts(most amazing iv had) Patron certainly something to rave about as well as some vodka mousse which was strange a product from the states.  I would make you a star in my universe.
you'll never have to go to work.
you'll spend everyday, shining your light my way.

If I talk real slowly
If I hold your hand
If you look real closely my love,
you might understand.

to be loved its intoxicating
the warmth of touch
fingers entwined
connection
safety
the beauty of someones heart beat

We shot this boy on Saturday hes alot older now though, really looking forward to a new born shoot its so rewarding Bernice is great heres afew pics from a shoot.

Iv always enjoyed poetry its like art in words. Its beautiful one of my favourite poets was ee cummings. I hadnt actually known about him at all until afew months ago watching a really touching movie called Charlie St Cloud they used a line of the poem that really stayed with me id like to read the book aswell will get around to it soon enough.  The poem is about taking chances and trusting your heart. I strongly believe the poem is both motivational and inspiring. I think that plays a big role in ones life trusting your instincts and doing what you feel is right in your heart and not giving up on your dreams. Having a vision of where your life is going...Really looking forward to the photoshoots with Bernice next week shes great at what she does photography is such an amazing medium its instant gratification my heart yearns for some cameras to experiment with film is really expensive but the result is so amazing although digital cameras are more advanced and you can see the result of what youve taken its kind of an exitement too developing a film and seeing the end result. a friend of mine who works with me whos studying photography recommended i go check out the camera store by the old biscuit mill in woodstock apparently they sell the diane f + which im also pretty keen on:D
Really keen to experiment with an slr camera (digital single reflex camera)
some backround information compliments of wikipedia:P
History
Kodak DCS 100, based on a Nikon F3 body with Digital Storage Unit, released in May 1991.
Nikon NASA F4 back view with Electronics Box, launched on STS-48 September 1991.
In 1969 Willard S. Boyle and George E. Smith invented the first successful imaging technology using a digital sensor, a CCD (Charge-Coupled Device). CCD would allow the rapid development of digital photography. For their contribution to digital photography Boyle and Smith were granted the Nobel Prize in Physics 2009.[27]
In 1975 Kodak engineer Steven Sasson invented the first digital still camera, which used a Fairchild 100 x 100 pixel CCD.[28][29]
On August 25, 1981 Sony unveiled a prototype of the Sony Mavica. This camera was an analog electronic camera that featured interchangeable lenses and a SLR viewfinder.
At Photokina in 1986, Nikon revealed a prototype analog electronic still SLR camera, the Nikon SVC, a precursor to the digital SLR.[30] The prototype body shared many features with the N8008.[30] The follower Nikon QV-1000C Still Video Camera was produced since 1988 mainly for professional press use.[31] Both cameras used QV mount lenses, a variant of F-mount lenses. Via an adapter (QM-100) other Nikon F-mount lenses can be fitted.
In 1991, Kodak released the first commercially available fully digital SLR, the Kodak DCS-100, previously shown at Photokina in 1990.[32] It consisted of a modified Nikon F3 SLR body, modified drive unit, and an external storage unit connected via cable. The 1.3 megapixel camera cost approximately US$30,000. This was followed by the Kodak DCS-200 with integrated storage and other Kodak DCS cameras.[33]
September 1991 NASA launched the Nikon NASA F4 on board the Space Shuttle Discovery, mission STS-48. The camera was based on a modified F4 with standard F-mount and had a digital camera back with a monochrome CCD image sensor with 1024 x 1024 pixels on an area of 15 x 15mm.[34]
In 1999, Nikon announced the Nikon D1. The D1 shared similar body construction as Nikon's professional 35mm film DSLRs, and the same Nikkor lens mount, allowing the D1 to use Nikon's existing line of AI/AIS manual-focus and AF lenses. Although Nikon and other manufacturers had produced digital SLR cameras for several years prior, the D1 was the first professional digital SLR that displaced Kodak's then-undisputed reign over the professional market.[35]
Over the next decade, other camera manufacturers entered the DSLR market, including Canon, Kodak, Fujifilm, Minolta (later Konica Minolta, and ultimately acquired by Sony), Pentax, Olympus, Panasonic, Samsung, Sigma, and Sony).
In January 2000, Fujifilm announced the FinePix S1 Pro, the first consumer-level DSLR.
In November 2001, Canon released its 4.1 megapixel EOS-1D, the brand's first professional digital body. In 2003, Canon introduced the 6.3 megapixel EOS 300D SLR camera (known in the United States as the Digital Rebel and in Japan as the Kiss Digital) with an MSRP of US$999, aimed at the consumer market. Its commercial success encouraged other manufacturers to produce competing digital SLRs, lowering entry costs and allowing more amateur photographers to purchase DSLRs.
In 2004 Konica Minolta released Konica Minolta Maxxum 7D, first DSLR with in-body image stabilization[36] which later on become standard in Pentax, Olympus and Sony Alpha cameras.
In early 2009 Nikon released D90, first DSLR to feature video recording. Since then all major companies offer cameras with this functionality.
Since then the number of megapixels in imaging sensors have increased steadily, with most companies focusing on, high ISO performance, speed of focus, higher frame rates, the elimination of digital 'noise' produced by the imaging sensor, and price reductions to lure new customers.

Technology is advancing at such a rapid rate its kind of scary.

Dive For Dreams

By E.E. Cummings
dive for dreams
or a slogan may topple you
(trees are their roots
and wind is wind)
trust your heart
if the seas catch fire
(and live by love
though the stars walk backward)
honour the past
but welcome the future

(and dance your death
away at this wedding)
never mind a world
with its villains or heroes
(for god likes girls
and tomorrow and the earth)

My red string broke today:( also known as a kalava which translates to ``above all``. It is worn for and symbolizes blessings to the wearer. It also can be used in different rituals of worship (or "puja") to Hindu deities, and can be considered as goodwill to a person who offers it to another. The thread can be referred to as "raksha" or "rakhi" in a ceremony where a sister ties it onto her brother's wrist. The brother wears it as a sign of his sister's love and wishes for protection. It was very special to me and kind of feel naked without it will prob get sometrhing to wear on that wrist in the meantime till i get another one. I find the hindu religion to be very interesting not a very religious person myself but with Easter comng up i suppose it all comes with the package. My sister was very curious why people eat pickled fish on good friday so i had to find an answer...in the bible theres a verse which states:

Luke 24 36 While they were still talking about this, Jesus himself stood among them and said to them, “Peace be with you.” 37 They were startled and frightened, thinking they saw a ghost. 38 He said to them, “Why are you troubled, and why do doubts rise in your minds? 39 Look at my hands and my feet. It is I myself! Touch me and see; a ghost does not have flesh and bones, as you see I have.” 40 When he had said this, he showed them his hands and feet. 41 And while they still did not believe it because of joy and amazement, he asked them, “Do you have anything here to eat?” 42 They gave him a piece of broiled fish, 43 and he took it and ate it in their presence.

Was such a busy day sho and cant seem to sleep at all. The traffic department closed at 12am because of all the public holidays that was abit of a damper of the day otherwise its the Two Oceans marathon this weekend which my parents will be running they`re fast asleep. Running is such a great way to release stress and get fit used to love if but after i trained for the Oceans about two years ago got out of the routine and it faded away hope to get back into it soon:) So its Easter this weekend nice long weekend for all of you with Monday to Friday jobs oh the joys. Was blessed with some stationary from my mom today oh so happy getting back into my drawing again and really needed colour pencils too... My black and red were completly finished from my last drawing, was pretty stoked to find a range of Artline Markers in assorted colours same kind of result as one would get from using Posca Pens which pretty much can be used on most surfaces and are permanant. They can even be used on surfboards which is pretty rad is you would like to do your own designs on your board rather than go through the whole painting and sealing process...! Made a trip to Goodwood tonight to see my Bestie Lusi shes busy studing fashon design in Pretoria pretty stoked shes down for the weekend,iv missed her so much. Was helping her out with afew designs so didnt really get much time to catch up looking forward to her staying over for the weekend. Its tedious studyng anything to do with design as one has to permanantly have new ideas and perfection comes with the package as well as there being areas where one needs to grow for their work to reach its full potentiol takes alot of time too... It takes years to become known in the industry unless you come up with something thats grasped my the public immediatly. I came across this great sight similiar to Gumtree but instead of people selling their unwanted goods the site supports designers who have now been able to gain exposure too through the site and over time if they gained success started making a livining out of what they love doing. It would be great to have something like this locally, its an international sight calles Etsy here are afew designers which i really admire as well as some pictorial evidence of my day:)
